• The Monte Astu walk : the Lama Tourist Office suggests the Monte Astu hike.  For the enjoyment of the walk, of course, but also and especially for that of discovery.  You will walk in the steps of shepherds of long ago.  This was their mountain.  Take your time as you walk up to the peak and appreciate the surroundings.  You will detect countless perfumes and everywhere you will see the remains of a previous way of life: low walls, fountains, straw sheds, sheepfolds and wheat winnowing areas.  Since the shepherds left, this abandoned high land belongs to eternity.
