Around the village of Lama
| The beaches |
|
Let's begin with the beach of Ostriconi; its sand is the finest in Europe, as the well-known TV presenter Pierre Bellemare confirmed in one of his programmes. The beach is the western limit of the Agriates, that austere, magnificent and desolate land which finishes where the river reaches the sea. The Ostriconi has its source in Monte Reghia di Pozzo and waters first Pietralba and then the valley of Lama before reaching the sea in the Bay Peraiola. Further west there are two fine beaches at Lozari; further on is l'Île-Rousse and all the magnificent creeks of Balagne towards Galéria, south of Calvi. |
